White Pine County Jail
Project designed under a previous employer
Location: Ely, NV
Project Type: Jail
Building Area: 12,000 Sq.Ft.
The White Pine County jail is a 12,000 square-foot correctional facility engineered to meet the highest standards of security and functionality. Boasting (3) two-level jail pods, a dedicated booking area, interview rooms, and ancillary spaces, our facility ensures seamless operation and maximum safety.
Jail pods are served by 100% outdoor air heat pumps with backup electric heat, while the booking area and ancillary spaces are equipped with a rooftop heat pump system for optimal climate control. Security remains paramount, with every aspect of the facility meticulously planned and executed to prioritize safety.
To enhance security measures, all diffusers and return/exhaust grilles are crafted from anti-ligature heavy-duty steel with security frames. Supply ducts in the pod area feature baffling to prevent unauthorized cell-to-cell communication. Additionally, all plumbing fixtures are constructed from stainless steel materials.
Furthermore, a sophisticated water control system has been implemented in the pods limiting excessive toilet flushing to prevent potential flooding incidents by inmates attempting to clog toilets to flood their cells.
